The Cross Valley Connector is Complete

The long awaited bridge that is the final stage of The Cross Valley Connector in Santa Clarita is set to open this Saturday.

Hats off to the City of Santa Clairta for getting this much need road Santa Clarita Cross Vallet Connector map from Santa Clarita 411.comcompleted, now driving from Canyon Country to Valencia will be much easier for residents. The Cross Valley Connector project that connects the I-5 and 14 freeways to the 126 has been under construction for over 10 years, this roadway will help reduce traffic on Soledad Canyon Road by offering an alternative route across town.

This Saturday March 27th the final stage will open, the bridge connecting Newhall Ranch Road and Golden Valley Road.  With the bridge completed, you now can go directly from the 14 freeway to Newhall Ranch Road. Traveling through parts of Newhall and Canyon Conutry, via Golden Valley Road to hook up with Newhall Ranch Road in Valencia. As part of the 126, this road will make getting across town much faster and very easy to drive to Ventura. The grand opening will take place at 11:00am on the Newhall Ranch side if the bridge, the public is invited to take part in this city event.

Bristol Farms market in the Bridgeport Marketplace will be closing February 25. The store official confirmed today.

The driver hit a pole at Sierra Highway and Via Princessa around 2 a.m. Saturday monring, leaving some of Canyon Country with out power for more than 15 hours.

Santa Clarita Sheriff’s blocked off both sides of Sierra Highway and diverted northbound traffic through a shopping center. Via Princessa was closed off from Sierra Highway to Whites Canyons. The exit off the 14 at Sierra Highway was closed too.
